Alltel, one of the United States leading telecommunication companies, visited CID Associates Inc.. They required a liftable switching gear building with an integral 6" thick poured concrete floor. Having this capability would relieve them of building the switch gear houses through general construction methods, which entailed, 4 weeks for delivery of materials, and 6 weeks for construction. During this 10 week construction period, the landscape would be ruined, neighbors would complain, and in general, it would be a logistics nightmare. Alltel wanted to reduce their installation time to one week. No problem for CID - Alltel prepared the site and CID delivered the liftable building.
